Umm, actually, these are 4 stroke motors based on a 5hp Briggs&Stratton
engine. I know, because my nephew races one of these (in CA).

I think it was an excellent idea to have these at the EV drags. It gets
whole families to the track, where they will see the EV drags. Perhaps it
will improve their opinion about EVs, certainly they don't look like gold
carts.
