RE: battery regulators

Even though i did the BattPro, the best way to balance the pack is with a
multiple secondary transformer. I wound mine from a 1000W microwave oven
transformer running at 1.5kw with a fan. It has 7 secondaries and 14 diodes,
push-pull, one for each battery & keeps the voltages within .1V of each
other. Posted last year.

One thing Lee Hart did not mention in his post is his design
for a battery balancer. You didn't ask, so he didn't tell.

The Rugman Regulator and the Batt-thingy from Wilde-EVolutions
are passive devices and the Battery Balancer, like the Zivan
Smoother are active devices, or like I like to say, Pro-active
devices, 'cause they check the status of the battery before they
do something to the batt.

Lee can give you more info off-list, if you request..

Mahalos!
