Your Next Car Will Be Fueled by Hydrogen: The National Hydrogen
Association NHA) Announces a Call for Papers
WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- A breakthrough in hydrogen
technology is in the wings. Hydrogen fuel is on the brink of becoming
a common and affordable source of energy for powering homes, vehicles
and industry. The National Hydrogen Association (NHA) seeks papers
that will give the world a picture of what this new, hydrogen-powered
world will be like. Selected papers will be read at the NHA Annual
Meeting, February 29 to March 2, 2000, Tysons Corner, Virginia, and
published in the Conference Proceedings.

Suggested topics include:

1. Communication: Marketing Hydrogen to the Media. What is the
   message?

Who are the audiences?

2. Benefits to the Public. How will the introduction of hydrogen into
our energy mix solve issues such as global warming, national
   security and urban pollution?

3. Research. An overview of current research projects -- including
innovative hydrogen production and storage solutions, and fuel
cell materials -- taking place at corporate, university, and
   national laboratories.

4. Developments and Demonstrations. A global survey of current
hydrogen technology projects including domestic and international
   partnership efforts.

5. Energy Policy. International and domestic energy policy issues and
their impact on the use of hydrogen technologies.

6. Space. Hydrogen's role in space programs and its place in plans for
   future exploration and colonization.

7. The Automobile Industry. An examination of how automakers can adapt
to the new technology, and how fuel cells and storage issues will
   come into play.

8. Mass Transit. How can hydrogen be used to help solve the energy,
pollution, and urban planning challenges mass transit will face in
   the future?

9. Oil Companies. Examining hydrogen's place in our energy future.

Please submit your 250 word abstract by October 13, 1999. Notification
of acceptance is November 15, 1999. For more information, contact
