And they won't sell if even a minimal amount of marketing and advertising
isn't done!  I've asked many customers of the local Ford dealer (authorized
to lease the Ranger EV) and NO-ONE knew that an EV version was available,
even those very interested in a Ranger.  There is not even an 'Ask about the
Electric Option' sign on the display models! (almost zero cost for the sign)
NOTHING.

When some relatives bought a Renault Le-Car in 1980 they were well informed
that an electric version was available.  They would have bought it despite
the much higher price except they were travelling to foreign countries were
the batteries and service weren't available, but at least they were told
about the EV version!

I applaud Ford for making them available in theory throughout the country,
however they need to make a real effort before claiming they weren't wanted.
(Like GM claiming only 1,000 EV1's were sold.  They are lease only and the
statement repeated in numerous news articles implies they were available
throughout the country.)
