TOO MANY messages?  use DIGEST MODE ... sysop message

The problem with the digest mode is that there is no way
to locate individual messages in the huge message that
makes up the digest list.  A simple change to the digest
script would fix this.  In the header, you have the 
messages numbered.  But there are no numbers in the body
of the message.  If you added a line before each message
in the body, giving the number in the header, it would be
very easy to locate individual messages in the huge digest.
As it is, because the messages are all varying lengths and
many of them have thread titles, it is almost impossible
to locate any messages you are interested in even with a
search function.

Yes there is.
Setting your EV List subscription to DIGEST mode means you
would not receive individual messages, but one BIG daily message.
Be sure to send the following command From the email account you
are subscribed on (please don't use the POSTing address):

Message: set ev mail digest
