DC switches - where do ya get 'em?
Where can one get high voltage DC switches? I flipped thru my stack of assorted electronics catalogs and didn't find any switches designed for 120V DC and about 10 amps. Of course, 10 amp AC switches are a dime a dozen.
I was thinking of using such a switch to control a heater, which seems like an increasingly desirable addition to my EV now that winter is approaching (such as winter is in Seattle). Heat around here is needed more to defog windows than for comfort. Drive in a pouring rain, throw a wet panting dog in back, and the car interior becomes a muggy, foggy steam bath. Frantic wiping of the interior surface of the windshield can achieve some semblance of visibility, but gets hard on the old arm after a while.
