Re: four elements for EV acceptance - or one alternative

It costs about $2.00 Canadian to recharge my ev, Datsun truck having a 144
volt flooded lead acid battery. For that I can go 80 Km or 50 miles... all
in round numbers. How far can an ICE go on $2.00 of gasoline?.... If
untaxed gas costs the consumer $1.00 per gallon At 20 to 30 mpg; it is
about 40 to 60 miles. In a taxed to death country like Canada at $2.50 per
gallon (bigger gallon mind you), the ev goes further than the ICE. That
could change depending on how electrons are taxed. But in Canada,.... live
for the day and enjoy the savings of the ev.... including, no oil changes,
tune-ups, hoses, belts, etc... and also because the ev owner built his her
own car, knows it inside out and has most of the tools anyway.... does not
need to ever again go to a garage where the labour rate could be $80 or so
per hour. Real savings, if you saved $80 per hour for one day per year in
the garage. (80 x 8 = $640 and you buy gas on top of that)
