This is a unique EV. As an engineering student, as the final "exam,"
they broke up into groups and built unique devices. One group built a
recumbent bike. My friend's group turned it into an EV.
They used a motor from an electric airplane model. It delivered, as I
recall, 1HP, but at extremely high RPMs, and with very little torque.
To allow it to power the bike, it had to be stepped down, via the
tranny.
