20 Trojan T-125's available in San Jose CA area

The pack is 2 years old (Oct. 1997), currently in use in my EVanagon.

I've placed an order for a new pack. This pack has life left in it, but
range and performance are down.

Please contact me if you want to discuss them.

Maybe someone wants to consider using 16 of the best in 96V system?

4 of the T-125's (#1, #2, #9, #16) have had cells reversed. I don't think
any others have.

I plan to pull this pack the morning of Saturday January 15, 2000, and that
afternoon, Batteries Plus is scheduled to deliver my new pack of replacement
Trojan T-125's.

Please pass this on to anyone off-list who you think would be interested.

Vanagon Vacuum pump status....
I hope to scan my Van pictures to share the .....q_u_i_e_t.... vacuum pump
setup I was working on in September.
It works great! I moved the check valve to the outlet and it not only made
things quieter, but the pump recovers faster. The vehicles idling and
passing by at an average traffic light drown out the faint hum easily, even
with the windows up :-).

The main key to making it quiet was enveloping the pump in foam. This
isolated it from the chassis, and absorbed noise. I had a natural cubbyhole
in the engine compartment where the pump and the foam surrounding it fit
snugly away from the elements, then I installed a removable chain for easy
access to maintain it, while ensuring the whole assembly couldn't slide out
under extreme conditions.
