Read the NHRA rules. It's a done deal for motorcycles and open cars.

You can still run floodeds on sedans.

There were just TWO competitors. Everyone talked about building one and
everyone wanted to get in on the rules, but only two people actually
constructed them. The class seems to encourage folks to build un-safe
vehicles. One of the vehicles flunked tech THREE separate times at the
Woodburn event. The other was obviously untested before the race.
I originally campaigned hard to get the NEDRA board to go along with the
class. Now I must agree with the folks that opposed it. It has been an
inspection nightmare. Indeed, one of the goals of NEDRA is to promote
innovation, but we also want to improve the public image of EVs. I have not
seen anything terribly innovative in the to Class 64 vehicles and they have
not served to improve the public image of EVs. The goals of NEDRA are not
met by these vehicles. I would like to see more folks participate in EV
drag racing, but only two Class 64 vehicles were ever constructed. The
class did not achieve the goal of greater participation either!

You can still do this under the NHRA rules. They don't have a problem with
small motorcycles or well-constructed go-karts.
