Ah, but there are always loopholes. Both of my EVs have been retitled as
"new" when converted into EVs.
The 1980 ComutaVan was bought as "junk"; the title had been turned in to
the state. I restored it, and re-titled it. It became a "1993 Assembled
Electric" in the eyes of the state.
My 1980 Renault LeCar was re-titled by U.S. Electricar as a "Lectric
Leopard".
