Last I heard, they started at about $27,000.  That includes Sonnenschein 
lead-gel batteries.  I think battery thermal management is now standard.  
Air conditioning is optional and fairly expensive, something like $3,000. 
 Nicad or NiMH batteries are also optional.

The Force is a nicely executed conversion of the Chevrolet Metro.
