Re: Economizer circuit



 A couple of years ago, there was a neat little
circuit used as an economizer.  It used a dual
555.  One 555 did PWM, and the other one drained
the discharge pin on the first.  Result:  100%
duty cycle for 100 ms, then about 50%
thereafter.

I tried this.  It costs a lot more than that.  
It is not worthwhile unless you know that you
will make a lot of them.  Before you go this
route, you should think about custom economizer
IC's.
