Re: Help! Smoking Motor;
Well the rating is around 30 amps from 24v correct? It probably is not
willing to handle the 75+ amps you are probably running constantly. If at
all possible, can you gear it down lower? Give it a good helping of boot
scoot to get it going too. Unlike series motors, your field power is kind of
fixed. You can over power your armature at start easily, quickly cooking it.
