Most states have a form of this... at least for the 3 wheeled cars. Cycle plates
are usually cheaper. Maybe they could just extend the cycle laws to cover EVs.
One thing I'd like to see is forcing insurance companies to cover enclosed
cycles as cars. Sure, the insurance for a cycle is cheaper, but you don't get
the same coverage. If I, or a passenger, is injured in my car, they are
covered... but not for the 3 wheel "cycle" car... and I can't get the additional
coverage to bring it up to standard.
