Re: Just vote no...

Hi there!

I hope that this newby's comments don't upset any "old-timers", but I feel
that I have to respond to Jerry's post:
Yes high volume fuel cell production is ten years away (You think it will be
that soon?), but then again so are cheap, mass produced Lithium Polymer or
NiMH batteries! Solar technology will "EVentually" be a viable alternative,
but that also is a long way off! Fuel cells are here! Now! They are a
little too big for most EV aplications, but if there is a demand it will
happen, probably in one of the list members back yard/garage first!
I would also say that limiting FC posts to just Hydrogen is also a waste!
Hydrogen is a LONG way off! CNG powered FC are available now, and will be
small enough for EVs within a couple years.
This is the Electric Vehical List News, if it has an electric motor driving
the wheel(s), it belongs here! Where the Watts come from is almost
irrelevant, except that we are an environmentally motivated bunch (How long
are we going to hear about the Insight, an ICE with an oversized starter?).
There, the peons have spoken (one of them at least ;)
