Yes to fuel cells and hydrogen as it applies to EV's.
Hydrogen & fuel cells just provide another way to store
electrical potential that may be used to power the likes of
an EV.

2 years ago I saw an EV with 4-5 fuel cells and some
batteries that ran like a charm.  The fuel cells were used
for extra power and long runs so effectively that the owner
was planning to convert the whole system to fuel cells and
extend his range at the same time.
