Win or not, any day at the races is Great!

Boy oh boy what a dilemma! The Tortoise and the Hare.
I think it all boils down to what you really want. When you start
compromising you must give up the BEST from either end of the spectrum
and settle for something in between.
For bracket racing consistency is King.
If you are striving for WINS and perhaps a series championship, then
there is no question but to be as precise as you can be in picking your
times and adjusting you're machine based on as many variables as you
can observe. Track temperature, battery temperature, wind, tire
inflation and on and on and on....Lots of record keeping!
Winning this way is a lot of work but people do end up noticing you.
OR...do you want to show people that you have the meanest bad-ass bike
out there ready to take on all challengers and *smoke 'em*? To
paraphrase..."The only thing better than Horsepower is more Horsepower."
A lot more risky but it does get the testosterone (or estrogen) going
doesn't it? There is nothing like having someone get a head start then
reel them in and beat them at the lights.
But beware, when you push things to the limits sometimes they break! and
how will that look to the spectators?
Based upon what you have said you are already being noticed. Racing in
the top class and running 'faster than most' is quite an accomplishment.
Losing to last years champ by a few thousandths of a second is not a
defeat!
If it were me I'd go for the Championship and save the balls-out racing
and world record attempts for non-series EVents. Think of the press if
the Penzoil ET series was won by 'half a golf cart"!

No I take that back, I'm always in racer mode!
