Only indirectly. I have old data sheets for several Delco alternators.
They list dozens of model numbers, sizes, weights, volts and amps vs.
rpm, etc. Nothing specifically on efficiency, i.e. they never give
torque or HP needed to produce a given output.

Therefore, I set up a crude dynamometer. An alternator and electric
motor were connected with pulleys and a v-belt. I measured power in and
power out and had performance curves for the motor, and so could
calculate alternator (and v-belt) efficiencies. It was a crude setup and
only one unit was tested, but it was pretty clear that a 12v 60amp
Delcotron alternator was only about 60% efficient at full load.
