Carfull my controller killing friend...
A properley set up Sparrow will NEVER light the Yellow LED... You get to
rev limit before the motor's Back EMF allows full current.
And most Sparrows are set to never deliver more than about 500 motor
amps. That's about 300 Battery amps. I tried on ours.. 70 mph and NO
yellow ever. The only time a yellow is lit with in neutral... no motor
load and full throttle. This is the easy way to dial in you MAX throttle
setting, on set up, after a controller swap. God it's been a few weeks
since I barked Knuckles doing that.... Ahhh!
Ummm the runaway... More than DCP's stuff got melted... DON'T EVER
throw the direction contactor under any power levels other than slow
crawl. Interlocks and testing that you can't do this is the solution.
Rich Brown.... wanna do a full power reverse... on twin 1200 Raptors...
and then click to A head Warp factor 9???? have your medical insurance
paid up please. Then again...us EV racers... know darn well not to even
try this. It gets to expensive.
