Re: Vacuum Pump Cross Reference Number

Hi John and all,

Those GM vacuum pumps were used in the J-body GM cars (Chevy Cavailier
Cadet, Buick Skylark, Pontiac J-2000/Sunbird, Oldsmobile Firenza) It seems
they were used on some of the 1.8 Liter powered cars that had a problem with
engine vacuum. I got mine of an '84 Chevy Cavalier Cadet. I did also find
one on an '87 Volvo. I suspect a quick search through your local
"U-Wrench-It" would net you several. Alternatively, Randy at Canadian
Electric Vehicles has them as well. Some digging in the list archieve found
the GM part number, #2203-4995.

Thanks,

Mike Chancey,
