You have a common misconception. High-performance EVs are actually
more efficient than low-performance EVs. This is a fact. (Quite the
opposite is true for ICEs. That is why people often make this incorrect
assumption about EVs.)

If you build a high-performance EV, folks will buy them. It has
been well proven that low-performance EVs sell very poorly indeed. If folks
don't buy EVs, they really won't make any difference at all, will they?

Even under the worst conditions, EVs are more energy efficient
than ICEs. Even on a record-breaking run down the drag strip, the
KillaCycle uses less than a kW-hr of electricity. At it's worst, the
KillaCycle is about 75% efficient.

Get the person to buy an EV. No matter how they drive it, slow or
fast, we will all be better off than if the same person bought an ICE car.
We have to entice them to buy it, however. High-performance will do this
with no sacrifice in efficiency.
