Re: MECI DC to DC

> I purchased 2 of the Meci DC to DC converters and didn't get a data sheet.
Their web page says 36-72 volt input as does the article in Current EVents.
The manual I downloaded from Kepco for the FPD12-4.2-48, says 40-56 volt
input. The 60 volt wide input model has an input voltage of 36-72 but it's
only 10 watts, not the unit Meci sells. I was planning on using these on my
72volt pack for a month or so until I add the battery case to get to 96
volts. It sounds to me like until I get to 96v this won't work. Correct? I
looked back in the archives and there seems to be no mention of anything but
36-72 but if the 56 volt max in the Kepco data sheet is correct, shouldn't
folks be blowing them up equilizing a 96 volt pack? What am I missing?
> thanks,

Call up MECI and tell them you didn't get the data sheet and they will mail
one to you. They are supposed to include one, but I've discovered from past
experience(with other items) that they don't include data sheets unless you
specifically ask for them.
