Thanks for the correction -- I was a bit off on the output of the panel, but
at 25 watts it's still going to take quite a while to produce even the
.3kWhr to go a mile. My 3kW was based on the number of watts required to
travel at 25mph in most 120V cars (I assumed 25 Amps draw). Of course it
won't require an hour to drive a mile, more like 3 minutes, which means 3kW
x.05 hr = .15kWhr or 150Whr, about 6 hours on the solar panel, switching it
from battery to battery to make the 12V output fit the 120V pack. Seems like
a lot of effort when it would only take 20 minutes to walk home, and another
10 to get the ICE and another driver and retrieve the EV, which by that time
would probably have reformed enough to limp home. But Fun!

Bob, your numbers are off a bit I think. I don't know the spec on the
battery boost solar panels, but I based my estimate on this product which is
probably close to it:

Also, your 3kWh/mile (I assume you meant Wh not W) figure is very high and
is probably closer to the 0.3kWh a previous poster mentioned.
