Don't believe everything you read or hear in news reports, as they tend to
misreport the facts at times. Look up the statistics for yourself. The SUVs
and pickup trucks tend to be marginally safer in multiple car accidents, but
the death rate in the other vehicle is much higher than when the accident
involves two cars instead of an SUV and car. Single car accident death rates
for SUVs and trucks are several times as high as cars. An SUV with a low
slung battery pack might not roll so easily, but they still won't handle or
brake as well as a car.
