Warning!  A new battery pack is ~expensive~!  These cars used (IIRC) 
something like 24 or 26 Hawker Genesis batteries.  They run in the 300-
volt range, just as the Impact did.

Of course a savvy hobbyist could rework the battery layout, but it would 
take some effort; the current setup has them in a tray under the vehicle 
(at least that was the case on the USE Prizm I saw).  Very nicely done, 
but costly to replace.
