Re: Kiss 'em goodbye or let's make our own!!!

   Hi Tom and All,
If we want good practical EV's we are going to
have to make them ourselves.
     It's obvious Detroit won't.
There is a market for 10,000 EV's a year right
now from gov motor pools, post office, car rentals,
just on the west coast. Here in Fla just the retiree
market would be good for 5000 a year and already
primed with golf carts/ NEV's so they are used to
electrics already. As gas prices go higher demand will
go up.
I've priced out production of a composite 2
seat/ 3 wheel , 70 mph/ 70 mile range, 1300 lb EV and
it comes out under $7,000 to build using boat
production technics. Sold at $12,000 that's $5,000
profit each. As 1 person can make 1+ per week that's
$250,000 profit / year from a 1 man shop.
If anyone wants a new career this could be for
you. There's room for 10 to 20 EV companies around the
US since Detroit is passing it by.
Lets take advantage of this to start our own EV
companies. Time for Detroit to lose.
           Thanks, jerry dycus
