Re: EV-APEC

The last email I sent is a better description of the PCIM conference. APEC
is more oriented towards advanced research by universities and is sponsored
by IEEE, but most of the vendors are there.

Anybody not familiar with this conference it is one of the best power
electronics showcases available.
If your interested in designing your own controller, this is the place to
go. I believe AC Propulsion had a display there a couple of years ago.
Most of the big power semiconductor companies have displays as well as
everything else that goes into a control (bus bars, caps, sensors,
enclosures, connectors, microcontrollers, DSP's, gate drives etc.)
They also have technical sessions where the above vendors talk about their
new products and solutions to drive related problems.
I will try to go if possible, still need to ask the boss.

I'm going to APEC (Applied Power Electronics Conference) 2001 in Cal March
4-8 IEEE conference. I'll be in Anehiem March 3 - 12. Are you going or
others?

A friend at work was previously employed by Westinghouse and worked on
their electric bike.
He said that Westinghouse sold this division to Esarati.
Some people may know this already but I have not seen it mentioned on the
list
