FW: Sparrow review...
Hi folks,
I've attached the message I sent to Pulling Power (UK car show on national
commercial channel), along with their response....Oh well, it's better than
a form letter...
Dear PP,
Why did you review the drag-racing Sparrow, and why didn't you test it as a
commuter vehicle?....Seems strange that you should dispatch Gail off to the
seaside to complain about harsh suspension in a race-prepared
vehicle...Lotus Elise anyone? I must say I'm disappointed, but not
surprised, that a magazine show that depends on the manufacturers of
internal combustion vehicles should be so negative about an Electric one.
The Sparrow is a way forward for transport to cope with a problem that is
coming sooner or later...we run out of oil in the not too distant future,
what price a 12mpg Sports Utility then?....I do not understand how you can
feel vulnerable in a Sparrow either, I commute a Sinclair C5 (I'm going
attempt to become the first person to solo John O'Groats to Lands End in it
this summer, see my site at www.c5.cybes.org), and I don't feel vulnerable
in that in towns, so where is the problem in a Sparrow? I think you were
reviewing the wrong vehicle in the wrong situation, and I for one would jump
at a chance to do a proper job of it on a weeks commuting duties....but not
the drag-racing one, the proper one.
PS, if you think this is just another IDE hating EV nut letting rip then you
are free to feel like that, it's not true, but then truth and journalism are
rarely happy bed-fellows...

Dear Chris,
Thanks for your e-mail. I have passed your comments onto the production
team. I shall keep you e-mail on file and perhaps we will be able to
rectify the issue by doing another feature in the new series. Good luck
with your solo journey.
Best wishes
Pulling Power
