Re: Shipping an EV from out of state

Ted,

I don't know if you remember me from the FVEAA last year, but hello again.

$775 sounds reasonable. When I moved out to CO from IL it cost about $900+
to move my EV via an enclosed United Van Lines truck. Luckily, that expense
was paid by my wife's company as a relocation fee. Before that, we had paid
~$800 just to ship my wife's little VW Karmann Ghia from CA to IL on a car
transport (Silverado Trucking). Granted, there were some mountains in the
middle, but your EV weighs MUCH more.

If the truck you want is in good condition than you should pony up the money
and get it moving in your direction. To put it in perspective, if you were
to do a conversion you'd spend more than that shipping charge in misc.
expenses. Besides, I know that you've been looking for a long time, and
that the truck you've found is a good deal.

Cheers,
