Re: By Golly, Ollie...

Mike,
I think I've got that story beat. When I was renting a house in Arkansas
during relocation from NC, I would occasionally drive around the
neighborhood in my 84 electric Fiero. On one Friday night I stopped at a
neighbors house where a couple of good old boys were working on their 69
Dodge Charger muscle car. I checked out their car and then showed them
mine. In between tobacco chewing and popping cans of beer (I think they
were drinking busch light) I described how my car worked. I'll never
forget the look on their face when I opened the hood and showed them the
motor and control.
I guess Missouri isn't too far from Arkansas, but EV's are not real big in
AR.
The good ol'boys liked my car, but I don't think they ever fully grasped
the concept.

Hi Michael and all,

I thought I was the only nut doing anything like that. My driveway was too
limited, so I ran the Civic up and down a stretch of the boulevard. I
noticed a lady following me with a very suspicious look on her face. I
stopped, and explained what I was doing. Her reaction suggested it only
confirmed that she believed I was indeed out of my mind. Isn't it nice
when
you can keep your neighbors from getting bored?

Thanks,
