EV Grin Returns

And none to late!

With some nice support from Cloud Racing & quick action by Damon hisself, I
finally got the new DCP 600 Raptor installed over the weekend and I'm glad
to say we're back in action!

I knew I'd been missing the EV for my commute, but the minute I left the
driveway Monday morning, there it was,.....in fact, I was grinnin' so hard,
I could hardly give out a yell.

Not necessarily a *rap* on the (former/lesser) 1231C controller, but here's
what I've noticed so far:

	- (Obviously) no more whine from under the hood OR (EMI/RFI) squealing from
the AM radio.
(gee, no more *lost* ball scores during acceleration).
	- Able to climb those steep hills without (overtemp) cutback (and/or
whinin').
	- And here's the biggest surprise: able to cruise at ~80 amps (45-50 mph),
which previously was 100-110 amps with the Curtis, AND the battery pack
is now reaching full charge sooner than before (and this with a pack
that's been sitting unused for 2 months, plus it's still only in the
upper 30's, mid 40's: Can a DCP really be that much more efficient than a
1231C?)

I'm still working on the tach sensor/over-rev limit install, but man-oh-man,
it sure feels good to be back in the EV-saddle again, YEEHAAHHH!!

OK, so I'm a little slow in catching up with the newer electronics, but
humor me folks, I'm old!

Regards,
Jim Waite
