Re: Hybrid trailers

A coworker has one of those large RV trailers, and is
now looking for a truck to pull it, and use the truck for
the typical load hauling that a small 'ranch' has need for.
He's been checking into the heavier duty pickups, with
huge gas and diesel engines. Today I suggested he think
about making a hybrid unit, where the RV trailer is
converted to be a pusher-electric for acceleration assist,
and to size the truck motor for more average loads, such
as cruising HP needed. Unfortunately, he's looking to
spend only a couple $k for the truck, so the $4-5k + of
ev components is out...
