I once heard something similar pertaining to the worlds lead supply. When you think
about it it might be true. I've been made to understand that recycling plays a major
role in todays lead acid battery production. Curious. While many producers prefer
virgin materials and are sort of kicking and screaming on the road to recycling.
(i.e. forest products, plastics, glass etc, granted for discreet reasons) battery
companies are all aboard more or less. Does anybody know off hand if lead is in fact
a limited resource that we're still banking on as our "fuel supply"?
I can barely imagin a lead powered replacement fleet for todays hoards of ICE's from
this perspective.
