Re: Battery Trailer

>From what I've seen, Mr. Sharkey and JB Straubel have both been having good
luck with their pushers, safety-wise. Maybe go ahead and put a DC motor,
controller and DC-DC in the trailer while you're at it, and turn any vehicle
with a hitch into a fair-weather EV? Most cars and trucks are rated to tow
far more weight than they're rated to carry, and regen on the trailer would
help keep the stopping distances reasonable. (And the controller can keep
the pizzas warm! <GRIN>)

For bonus points.. have a small alternater onboard the trailer.. and when
the brake light signal comes on, have it generate power from the wheels.
Instant regen braking for DC cars..

Plus, the truly clever could design a circuit to use it as a AC motor for
creeping the trailer around. No need to push.
