Hi everyone......

A little excitement today.

I removed the car cover on my ICE MG today to run it up to the mechanic
for an inspection. It was a nice morning and I lingered over it. Tear
the rag top off. Wash the windshield. ran it the half mile to the garage
and talked to my friendly mechanic while he fixed the frame lift to
handle the Midget.

I was asked to get out of the way while he hoisted it. The car in the
air, he was looking at the tires and walked under the car to just look
at things in general. (He is my mechanic for other things also.) I had
walked outside the immediate bay area, Then there was a shout (maybe an
expletive or two)

It seems an adult Copperhead snake had chased a field mouse into the
coil spring and was coiled on the lower suspension 'A' frame. Just
inquisitively watching us. (I had run in.) We stayed our distance.

I was politely asked to take my pet out of the garage and run down a
bumpy road. Needless to say the snake enjoyed the ride and was observed
slithering away 5 or 10 minutes after I returned home and left the car
in the middle of the drive.

The wife has not left the house since this happened this morning........

The hazards of living in Upstate New York and storing our cars outside.
