NEVs
I may be getting an electric golf cart, and wanted to know what
needs to be on something to be considered an "NEV": I know it
has to be limited to 25mph, and I'd expect it needs brak/tail/head
lights, turn signals, rear-view mirrors, seatbelts, but what about
a windshield, wipers, bumpers, or some other minutae of legislation?
If I can get a golf cart legal for the street, then I can convince
my wife to take it for the 0.8mi trip to her store and occasional
5-10mi around town for errands, which is currently the main non-freeway
use of our RAV4.
