I thought it would be a neat idea to have regen kick in whenever the
brakes are hit, for a towed EV. It would be safer than no brakes, and
recharge the batteries. This might be the fastest way for the racers
to dump charge their batteries -- tow the car up to speed, regen to a
stop, and repeat a few times. I'd guess you could charge at a 50 to
100 kW rate this way.
