Please keep in mind when using this type of battery, the life cycle is 30
days after activation, although it may operate for a longer period of
time. The battery can expand and leak when hot or discharged heavily. DO
NOT RECHARGE!!!! Explosion will result, ( cell phone batteries ). Do not
use them in a camera or in any application that requires constant
voltage.
Lawrence was lucky that the battery did not damage his equipment. It
either had a switch or drew only a few microamps when operated, It is
also possible that the battery container was sealed tightly to prevent
oxygen from entering the enclosure putting the cell into remission.
As you know, you only get what you pay for when buying consumer batteries
and although the ZnAir offers interesting specs, a few cents more will
get alkaline or better yet, silver oxide. On the subject of consumer
batteries.....
Check out Eveready battery web site, seems like the only difference in
their batteries is the cost to the consumer. Don't you love marketing?
