Re: Palm Pilot software for E-Meter

This Palm Pilot software looks like a really neat idea, though I can't see
as it does all that much more than the E-meter alone. As I have mentioned
before what I would like to see is a way to tie together the E-meter data
and a speed/distance signal from the EVs speedometer. I was just checking
the Honda manual and found the speed sensor on my Civic generates four
pulses per revolution of the speedometer cable. Once corrected for number
of pulses per mile this could easily be used to generate both speed and
distance. Combine that with the E-meter data and you could have
watthours/mile, range to empty (full discharge) at current rate, avaerage
distance per cycle, and many other such useful functions. Has anyone ever
tried doing something like this?

On a side note, as I am not a Palm Pilot owner but was considering looking
into an older one to try this kind of thing on could anyone recomend a
specific model for this kind of application? Ebay seems full of the things,
but there seems to be a zillion versions.

Thanks,
