Can the 240v source for the sprinkler pump be rewired as an outlet? If it's outside, you can get 
a weatherproof housing. You don't need the Avcon box hardwired in - make it a plug-in for portable 
use. I'm still using just the Avcon line and the signal generator to get power from the wall - 
seems to do fine without the PCS and much more "portable".
