Watch it Madman.  I used that term on this list many years ago and man did
the list members get mad at me.

Sad but true....unless there is a better battery with more range at a
reasonable price there will NEVER be a production EV.  Without a lot of
chicks (EV's) to hatch those eggs (advanced batteries) will never come down
in price.  Perhaps if the hybrids sell in more decent quantities the price
of the advanced battery might come down.  What we really need is a plug-in
hybrid, with at least a 30 mile range, but the auto companies will not
build them for fear of it leading to the elimination of the ICE portion of
the auto.
