1]my figures are the full range you may see: 1500 to 5000 revolutions per
mile [also revolutions per minute at 60 mph]
2]most FWD trans do not have a "direct" 1:1 ratio [4th in a 5-sp] though it
may be close [to 1:1]
3]most RWD trans have a direct 4th [in a 5-sp]
4]the actual ratio of the rear axle determines the driveshaft speed. The
ratio of an axle from a 4x4 version will be numerically higher [more rpm]
than the 2WD transaxle number.
