Jetta Hybrid Convert

This what I thought to do with my old Jetta.

"The Toyota Estima Hybrid uses a CVT in a compact front transaxle to
transmit main motor & gasoline engine energy, and adds a rear transaxle
which combines a second motor and differential gear in a single unit, for a
lightweight, compact structure that enables 4-wheel drive without a
driveshaft."

The front wheels would not change. But back wheels would have a motor. How
can motor connect to rear axle? A belt? Wheel-mounted? Direct drive?
