An added point to consider for the future as passed to me by some Curtis 
insiders.  

The Curtis 1231 which was the predecessor to the 1231C was removed from 
production sometime earlier this year.  Although the 1231C remains in 
production at very low volumes and most likely will be obsoleted as the 
company continues to cut products to save money to survive.

As was said earlier on the list, Curtis develops industrial vehicle 
controllers and the 1231C is a fallout from that development.  They continue 
to develop fork lift controllers and will most likely not have qualified 
products for EV owners like us in the future.

>From a long term support view, the Raptor is a better choice.
