Cool! This is the first I've heard of a lower voltage version (the data
sheet I've got only lists the 278V & 557V flavours of the standard Z5C
battery).
However, the Z5C consists of 216 of the 2.56V cells, so it seems more
likely that the lower voltage flavour would be 139V (4 parallel strings
of 54 cells for a total of 216) rather than 156V (3x61=183 cells or
4x61=244 cells). Or, it is an entirely different battery altogether
than their present standard model...
In any event, a 150-ish volt Zebra with peak current capability of 336A
(3 strings) or 448A (4 strings) would be a very attractive battery for
DC conversions of small, light urban commuter vehicles (e.g. Geo Metro,
Ford Festiva, etc.) The 278V battery is perfect for AC conversions of
the same sort of vehicle.
