Re: Lynch motorcycle (long)
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the info and the update. Glad that Cedrick wasn't hurt any worse.
I'm excited about his new machine and the new motor design as well. Why
couldn't I have someone in my area with Cedric's know-how? He'd soon tire of
my company though. I'd probably bug him until he went nuts.
Sounds like you had a great get-together with the guys! I'm a bit envious of
a chance to ride in an enclosed vehicle like Cedric's. Perhaps that envy
will spark me to spend a bit of time scrounging up old campaign signs to get
the board material. I haven't found a cheap, easy source fo that material
here as of yet. I see a lot of signs made from it, but usually smaller
pieces.
I delivered soem sprockets to my friend David Chapman a week or so ago. He
will come up with a good reduction system that can be built from the parts.
I managed to get a three speed internally geared hub and that was one of the
things David felt woudl be needed. It's gotten a bit cooler here than what I
am comfortable with. Sixty degrees would eb a heat wave for you folks over
in the U.K., but when one is acclimated to 110 degrees during the Summer, 60
feels like a blizzard.
I imagine that the clear poly sheets on Cedric's bike develops a bit of a
green house effect during the day. My trike will have a minimum amount of
clear glass or plexiglass to keep the sun out in the Summer months. During
th eWinter it woudl be a great benefit though. I am dreaming of a system
involving interchangeable panels for the two seasons that we have. Living in
a desert is nutty!
Off I go, take care and look forward ot the next wave of pictures from
around your circle of EV folks.
Regards,.
