Tips?

Dear all:
I have finally decided to take the plunge and do a simple conversion. This looks like a summer project (is it safe to call it that?), because my mom wants me to get off my $%^ and do something with my #$% @#*@ time. Anywho, I would like to buy a moped with a messed up motor and convert it. Do you guys have any tips? Should I go for 24V, 36V, or 48V system? This vehicle would be for warm weather only and should be capable of all but highway speed (I'd get eaten up arond here otherwise, these drivers are crazy!). Last, Is there anything I should do to it in the offseasson? Thanks guys!
