This is not memory effect. It is the mysterious "M" effect, whose results are
essentially the same as the memory effect.
Also, it is caused by nearly the same factors,
and to the casual observer is indistinguishable
from the memory effect. Don't call it the
memory effect, since that infuriates some
people.
Instead, make sure that you are not
overcharging (cooking) your batteries during
those short (and frequent) charges. "M" may
as well stand for mass balance, since there is
a limited amount of active material that you
can afford to lose.
