EV smirk

I just acquired a 1981 Lektrikar.
It's a Datsun 310, apparently converted and sold as a new car.
Towed it home Thursday evening and have been walking around it, kicking the
tires etc. ever since. Had the Lester charger that came with it humming for
about 12 hours Saturday and Sunday. The US batteries were installed new in
98, and had been sitting for about 8 months. It took 12 hours for the
charger to taper off to 8 amps at 118 volts, so it will be a while before I
can tell if the pack is saveable.
The controller, a Pulse-o-matic Mark 10, seems to work fine, but is very
noisy. It makes a clicking/buzzing sound which is unique.
Fortunately, everything seems to work well. I drove it around the block a few
times when I brought it home.
I got all the factory manuals and schematics with it.
Lord willing and the creek dont rise, I'll have it registered and insured
later this week.
I just hope it can make the 17 mile commute to school and back.
Anyone have a line on websites or information about this thing?
Thanks,
Ben
